The property was originally constructed in the British era way back in 1890. It used to be originally residence of the Britisher “Harris” who played a key role in construction of the Kalka Shimla heritage railway. The property has since evolved itself over the years to suit the modern demands whilst still retaining it’s grandeur. It boasts of a private garden with adequate sunshine , envious openness and fresh air. The two cottages in the garden reflect British architecture looks whilst the rooms in main bunglow give a feel of the colonial era with high ceiling and wooden interiors. A bonfire facility is available in the garden for the late night revellers. The property offers a car park in a enclosed garage for two cars. Hotel Policy- According to government regulations, a valid Photo ID has to be carried by every person above the age of 18 staying at Garden Cottages. The identification proofs accepted are Drivers License, Voters Card, Passport, Ration Card. Without valid ID the guest will not be allowed to check in.
- The primary guest checking in to the homestay must be at least 18 years of age.
- The standard check-in time is 11:00 AM and the standard check-out time is 10:00 AM. After booking you will be sent an email confirmation with homestay phone number. You can contact the homestay directly for early check-in or late check-out. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may be chargeable by Garden Cottages.
- Unmarried/Unrelated couples will not be allowed to check-in. Garden Cottages reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a 'couple' if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. This is at the full discretion of the homestay management. No refund would be applicable in case the homestay denies check-in under such circumstances.
- Customers with Local IDs will not be allowed to check-in. Garden Cottages reserves the right of admission for local residents. Accommodation can be denied to guests residing in the same city.
